District 9620 Regionalisation Pilot revote outcome

Between 12 - 18 June 2023, Rotary and Rotaract Clubs in District 9620 voted a second time on whether to participate in the Zone 8 Regionalisation Pilot. To be successful, 67% of clubs in the district needed to support the vote. Unfortunately the threshold was not achieved at this time.

What will happen next?

The Zone 8 Regionalisation Pilot will continue to proceed with all other districts in Zone 8 participating. At this time, the new roles of Community Leader and Rotary Specialist will not be introduced in District 9620, nor will members of District 9620 be able to nominate for positions on the Regional Council. Members who are already in roles within the Regionalisation Pilot are welcome and encouraged to continue in these delivery roles.

Should a future District 9620 Governor indicate the District wishes to join the pilot in the future, this matter can be further considered.
