July Regionalisation Pilot Update

All members in Zone 8 received an email on 18 July about a few key updates on the Regionalisation Pilot.

Following feedback from members we have restructured the Creating Tomorrow Regionalisation Pilot website, adding several new pages under the “What are we doing?” tab at the top of the homepage. There are now web pages dedicated to information on the Regional Council and its structure, community groups and leaders, what the Specialist Network will do, and other key aspects of the pilot. These pages will continue to be updated regularly.

In the coming months we will be sharing information on:

●    Position descriptions for Regional Council and Specialist Network roles
●    How the Regional Council will be elected and the timeframe for elections
●    Guidance on community groupings so clubs can start conversations with members

As the pilot heads towards commencement on 1 January 2024 and changes will start to impact clubs, we know members will have questions. These changes may seem difficult at first but by tweaking what is great about Rotary we are building a sustainable and future focused organisation.

Once established, the pilot aims to:

●    Speak with 'one voice' in marketing and public relations at a regional, national and local level, enabling clubs to connect and collaborate in new ways that will engage members and deliver more impact.
●    Tailor programs, support and resources to help local clubs thrive, drawing on key expertise from across Zone 8. This move away from a ‘one size fits all Rotary’ will take the best aspects and adapt them to suit our region.
●    Provide clubs with more direct access to the best of the best resources from across Zone 8 to support them to achieve their goals.
●    Improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary duplication, consolidate administrative work and decrease costs by creating a Regional Council.
●    Create a longer-term strategy and build the capabilities of our organisation to meet the particular needs, circumstances and cultural aspects of our region.

To learn more and ask any questions, we invite you to register to attend one of the scheduled Zoom meetings that will be held during the week starting 24 July. To register for a session click here.
